This 9-week training course helps me gain a better understanding of the sources of my stress and anxiety. Most importantly, this program equips me with techniques to reduce my symptoms, and to manage them when the symptoms arise.   For example, I learned that when I fall into my “thinking traps”, I can “challenge those negative thoughts” and replace with “positive self-talk”.  This skill has greatly reduced my anxiety, and stopped my thoughts from going into a downward spiral. In addition, rather than avoidance, I learned to engage in behavioural experiments and graded exposure in order that my body gradually adapts to the fearful situation.   Lately, I challenge myself in participating in two tennis events that attract more spectators.  I am so happy that I feel much
more relaxed and at ease when I played in front of a large audience!
